AHOY!
Imagine, first of all, the trust a person must have to ride out to an angry sea in a top-heavy sailing ship. Then, imagine how it must feel being at the very top of the mast? And yet, for those who make this trip. that is the coveted position. That's where the "action" is. That's where the excitement and thrill is, safely harnessed in with the ropes; a singular sensation of really being alive. For some, it's that once-in-a-lifetime moment.
I bet that is how Paul felt - and Peter, and the other Followers, as they raced out into the seas of uncertainty. Tethered by faith against the storm. For most of my Christian life, I have stayed on deck. But I think I am missing something; if I truly fear God, then there is nothing else to fear....
